Rescue Operation
Your media, your voice.
Students undertake a mission on Mars to locate and rescue the famous Opportunity rover.
Combining Space Science, Mathematics and Robotics, students will develop skills in measurement, mapping, coding, collaboration, and critical thinking.
By using maps, scale, log entries, and measurement tools, students will recreate Opportunity’s journey and discover the rover’s resting location. Once found, students can program a real robot to follow in Opportunity’s footsteps (tyre-marks) and bring the lost rover home.
